Lately, my studio has been filled with wagging tails, curious whiskers, floppy ears, and some very adorable faces...and all on paper! 😄

I’ve had the sweetest time working on recent pet portrait commissions, and every single one has reminded me why I love doing this so much.

Because let’s be honest… our pets aren’t just pets.

They’re the ones who greet us like we’ve been gone for years, sit beside us through the good days and bad, steal our favourite spot on the sofa, and somehow convince us that sharing our food is their birthright.

So when someone commissions a portrait of their furry family member, I know I’m not simply painting a face.

I’m painting a little piece of their family story.

And now… the season of gifting is almost here! ✨🎁

With weddings, festivals, family gatherings and celebrations around the corner, I thought I’d share a little gifting idea for all the pet parents and pet-loving people out there.

A custom pet portrait makes such a lovely, like a personal gift.

Whether it’s for:

🐾 A newly married couple and their beloved first baby (yes, the four-legged one!)

🐾 A friend who talks about their dog/cat just a little too much…

🐾 A family member whose pet is basically the star of every family photo

🐾 Or simply someone you love who deserves a gift that feels truly theirs

And of course, you don’t need a special occasion to celebrate a very special pet.

Sometimes, “because they’re my baby” is reason enough. ❤️
